Neck pain is one of the most common conditions we see at our clinics. It is thought that 1 in 10 people have neck pain at any given time. Neck pain can be caused by muscle and joint injury, poor posture, weak muscles, motor vehicle accident and poor sleeping position. Problems with the neck can also lead to headaches, shoulder and arm pains, jaw pain and “pins and needles” in the arms or hands.
You should be assessed by a physiotherapist if you are experiencing persistent neck pain, pain or stiffness in the morning, clicking noises when moving your neck, tingling in your hands or arms.
Our physiotherapists will ascertain the cause of your neck pain and provide treatment to relieve your pain, improve your neck movement and to address any issues that may be the underlying cause of your pain.
